[September 11] London: Guided Bus Tour of London

Unfortunately, ALL OF MY PICTURES FROM TODAY are missing as well. This is a huge bummer to me, but at the same time, a lot of the sites I saw from the guided bus tour I will be seeing again anyway. However, I did use a couple pics taken by a girl in my program from facebook (I asked her) which are shown below.

It was really nice to just relax on the bus for awhile, being driven around London with a tour guide. We got to get out at St. Paul's Cathedral and walk and look around, and then our tour ended at the British Museum where we met up with another tour guide who walked groups around the museum a bit just to talk about a few of the exhibits and get us a bit acclimated with that HUGE museum. It's so fantastic because it's like a 3 minute walk from the IES Centre, and will surely take me a long time to explore. We saw mummys and ruins and THE ROSETTA STONE. I remember I first found out about the Rosetta Stone when I was probably 9 or 10 because of Quest and it's always just been a fascinating thing to me.

Afterwards, I went ShOpPiNg with a couple of girls. Went to TOPSHOP for the first time and bought a dress. Went to HARRODS and almost passed out with excitement. There were so many pretty (and extremely expensive) things there. It's where the Queen shops. It's a museum in itself and I will definitely have to spend some time wandering around in there.

Later that evening I went to a pub with some girls from my program and what started out as a confused and misdirected evening turned into a very enjoyable one for sure. :)
