[September 2 PART TWO] Copenhagen, Denmark: Tivoli @ Night

In case you didn't notice the 'PART TWO' in the title, just keep in mind this is the second half of my first day in Copenhagen.

I was tired and feeling overwhelmed from traveling on the train to a completely new place and finding my way around, so I took a nap but afterwards I decided it was the perfect opportunity to explore Tivoli, an amusement park near my hostel, the train station, and city hall.

Here is a picture of one of the entrances during the daytime:

I was really happy with the way this pic turned out!:

I don't really like to go on rides, so I just wandered around looking at all of the beautiful lights and gardens and shops and restaurants.

Really good live music:

After looking at what felt like ten different restaurants, I finally resigned to the one pictured below. None of the restaurants had food that especially appealed to me and they were all EXPENSIVE. As in starting at $20 a meal. But I was already in the park, it was getting late, and I was really hungry.

It's pretty lonely to eat alone at a restaurant at a table meant for four.

Okay, so I thought, "Well this meal has herring and I really liked the herring I tried at Mgmg and Jette's... and it's a typical Danish thing I suppose. Okay, it's different but I'll try it."

IT WAS DISGUSTING. I paid so much for it and then I could hardly eat any of it. I just ended up eating all of the bread and drinking all of the beer. I was disappointed—what a waste. This was after giving up in disgust:

These are pictures of the roller coaster, which looked pretty crazy and I was definitely NOT going to ride it:

Finally I ran out of things to look at in Tivoli, so I headed back to the hostel. I saw this sign along the way and since my puppy dog's name is Bella, I knew she would want to see this sign...
