[September 20] London: Absolut Ice Bar~ Ice Ice Baby.

This is me and my lovely roommate before heading out to the Absolut Ice Bar on Monday:

It was hard to know what to wear because I really didn't know what to expect! Yes, I knew the bar was supposedly made out of ice but... needless to say, I wore 3 shirts and jeans and brought a hat just in case! I don't know why but whoever plans IES outings planned this one for a Monday.

Waiting in the lobby...

We took the tube and once we got off, it was a pretty walk to the bar...

Just a group of us waiting for our turn to go in:

BRR. They gave everyone parkas that had big gloves attached which was DEFINITELY needed... Here is me and my roommate inside the bar:

(Absolut) Ice Ice BABY...

With out tickets, we got a free drink (maybe two?) Well at any rate I only had one which was DELICIOUS. Below is a list of the drinks you could pick and I had one called Absolut Overboard. Was a mix of vanilla, pomegranate, and acai flavorings/alcohols.

The glasses were made of ICE which made the drink even more delicious... The colorful drinks looked especially fantastic in the ice also.

My drink was purple so you can't really see it but the other ones were rather florescent:

This is me and one of the student assistants, Devon. Everyone (well the girls at least!) always remark on how sophisticated she looks. She's so nice and super fun.

We were only allowed to stay in the Ice Bar for 40 minutes as it's kept at minus 5 degrees and I read on the website that every year the bar shuts down for a couple weeks to redo the design. Also, the ice comes from the Torne River in Northern Sweden.

Back at the dorm, I hung out in one of our super cool kitchens (ha, ha, they're actually kind of gross but that's only because people don't clean up after themselves...) with some super cool people:
