On Friday, we all headed to the IES Centre in Bloomsbury for a very helpful presentation about travel within Europe and we had a chance to look at different possible trips to go on. I feel like I'm already going to be so busy with the trips I'm already signed up for through the program, busy with classes (LOTS of reading...), and busy seeing LONDON, that my weekends will be FULL to the brim as it is. Which I am perfectly content with!
But I digress. After the presentation, I went with a few girls to look for an H&M because I needed a purse. I ended up wandering off on my own and finding a purse at Aldo, but more improtantly, I stumbled upon Covent Garden Square. It was a big shopping center with a neat atmosphere.
I took a video of these really enthusiastic musicians... but it won't load. I loved their performance! They were jumping and dancing and when I took this pic they were playing the Can Can.
I only took this picture because it's the name of an Elliott Smith song:
There were so many neat shops and one of them was a toy store, which was definitely fun for me! This pic is for Megan and Avery:
There are so many fantastic clothing stores on every corner; I think my favorite so far has been French Connection but I don't plan on actually buying anything there because they're expensive.
I came back for a rest, and later that evening I went out with two new kids that moved onto my floor and my roommate. We were only planning to get drinks at a pub and have a 'quiet' evening but we ended up visited 2 pubs, Sydney Arms and Cadogan Arms, and then took the tube to Leceister Square to find a dance club. Leceister Square I guess is kind of like Times Square? I really am note sure because I've never been to Times Square but that's what I've heard. There are tons of clubs in Leceister Square. We really had no idea where we would go but we ended up at a club called RubyBlue and it was nice... Lot's of dancing which is what I'm most enthusiastic about when it comes to nights out I think...!
The tube closes at night but there are night buses; we took the bus back that night. I still haven't quite figured out the buses very well.
